Fordell School welcomes students, parents, families, friends and visitors to what is turning into an exciting and prosperous 2011.
Fordell School is a great place to be! Tucked away in an idyllic setting amongst established native trees and wide open spaces, where children can be children, Fordell School is a kid's paradise, which offers a rural school experience and much more.
We are a friendly rural school Year 0 - 8, just 14kms east (a 10 minute drive from Durie Hill) of Whanganui in the village of Fordell. Our website is designed to provide you with an insight into our great school. We are extremely proud of it.
On our website we have information about how our school operates, information about our staff, celebrations of our students' achievements, school events, historical information, future directions and much more.
Fordell School is a positive and proactive learning environment. We embrace our values and set high standards in educational achievement and leadership. Our core programmes focus on Literacy and Numeracy whilst integrating ICT resources. We also embrace sport and the arts and are looking at some exciting and new initiatives in 2012.
We are a progressive and forward moving school with three classrooms. Small class sizes and quality teaching along with a range of extra curricular opportunities is a huge attraction for our families.
House Sports, making Christmas cards and calendars, school cross country, Pet Day, our Community Dinner, Pirate Day, Dance and First Aid for our senior students are events that have happened in recent weeks.
In the last few weeks of the year, we have camp, big day out, school athletics, our school art's performance and our end of year prizegiving to look forward to.
